Ruby is a beautiful, purebred German Shepherd with a classic black and tan coat. She is a mature, well-socialized lady who has mastered the art of good manners. When meeting new people of any age, Ruby is a consummate professional: she doesn't bark or jump. Instead, she’ll offer a curious, polite sniff to say hello before contentedly returning to her favorite lounging spot.
She has a flawless track record with other large dogs, having happily shared her home with an English Mastiff for many years, as well as her German Shepherd companion, Xander, for the last five plus years. While she still has a playful side and enjoys a fun run in the yard, she is well past the chaotic puppy phase.
Ruby is incredibly affectionate and loves nothing more than interacting with her humans and receiving a good belly rub. She is well-trained in her basic commands (sit, stay, down, and kennel) and is an excellent listener. Ruby loves to chill outside and lay in the sun or roll around in the grass. She will thrive equally with a single adopter or a larger family.
