Picture’s don’t do justice to just how sweet our Sasha is when meeting new people. This friendly German Shepherd is always curious and ready to make new friends. Sasha is friendly and welcoming to adults and children. She is extremely affectionate, leaning into our volunteers, looking for hugs and pets.   Sasha loves playing with her human friends and going for long walks, or running around in a yard.  Sasha is also extremely intelligent and appears to have received a good training regiment.

Sasha did live with another German Shepherd before coming to Sedona.  However, since entering our program, we have noticed that Sasha really prefers to be the only dog in the house. She responds to corrections on walks when seeing other dogs. She combines all the great qualities of a Belgian Malinois and German Shepherd. She is active but also knows how to just chill with all of her human friends.

Sasha was surrendered to Newark Shelter when her owner had to move into assisted living facility. According to her prior owner, Sasha showed up one day as a stray and stayed for the past few years. She has spent time with children of all ages.
