Leia has grown up around toddlers and children since she was a puppy and lives with three children under 10. Outside, Leia enjoys long walks, energetic ball chasing, and being playful and exuberant. Once inside, she is respectful of adults and the little ones running around the house. Although there are cats in the house, Leia is too energetic and can get things messy, so everyone is kept separate.
At 4 years old, Leia is the perfect age for a family with young children who wants an energetic dog without all the puppy drama. Leia is friendly with dogs, sometimes maybe a little too friendly, so we don’t know how she would be sharing a space with another dog. Any potential adopter with dogs will need a couple of meetings to make sure all the dogs are on board.
Leia had obedience training when she was younger and will pick up new commands and household rules quickly. She is spayed and in good health. She requires once-daily eye ointments and drops.
